First, Jacques got his face on TV by appearing on KALB TV's coverage of the Red River Bank donated new Alexandria Police Department Mobile Command Center RV. (See: "Red River Bank vehicle donated for mobile emergency center for Alexandria Police Department").
Thinking of himself as the commander-in-chief of our police department, Jacques dressed all in black presumably to mimic a police SWAT look.
"Police will begin retrofitting the bus with available department resources, Lampert said, but it will take time and money to get it fully equipped." id. "The chief said the department has applied for several U.S. Department of Homeland Security grants in order to purchase more equipment for the operations center." id.
After changing back into his mayor clothes, Jacques came on Channel 4 to hold his TV show.
It was one of the shortest TV shows that he has ever held. The sole topic was, once again, the donation by Red River Bank of the RV to be used as APD's new command center.
What was interesting, however, was Jacques' statement that he had already answered the media's questions earlier that day. This is just further proof that Jacques doesn't really hold his TV shows for the benefit of the public.
