JACQUES TAKES SOME HITS TODAY ON KSYL

This morning on KSYL radio's Talk Back Pre-Show, Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy took some pretty big hits.
The show centered around the mayor's lawsuit against Councilman Roosevelt Johnson, the downtown hotels and Convention Center, and the mayor's relationships with the City Council.

Listen here:

As usual, co-host Fred Rosenfeld tried to act as an apologist for Mayor Roy.

Contrary to what many people, including Fred, may think, the mayor and the City Council do agree on almost every issue that comes up before the Council.

In fact, with the exceptions of the mayor attempting to push some apartments down the throats of some Black residents who were opposed to them in their own communities, all of the mayor's initiative passed Council approval.

  2. Greg, I know that it kills Fred to even slightly agree with you, but all the recent conventions and those that are coming will be anyplace except our
fine River Front Center(ony the 1 the COA put on) so
sad for such a waste of space! After the National tell all of the MLK DAY being told around the place
we will have no one willing to use City owned places
due to HEAVY LANGAUAGE IN COA CONTRACTS being used on how you even BREATH in the places!! LOL so sad!!
