HURRICANE CHRIS REVISITED

The Louisiana Legislature has often been the site of many musical extravaganzas.

Our singing Governor, Jimmy Davis, of "You Are My Sunshine" fame, rode his horse, Sunshine, into the capitol. (See: "Jimmie Davis, Louisiana's Singing Governor, Is Dead").



But perhaps nothing has been more hilarious than Rep. Barbara Norton of Shreveport introducing her godson, Hurricane Chris, to the Louisiana House of Representatives on June 24, 2009.

State Rep. Austin Badon had this condemnation of Chris Dooley, Jr., known by the stage name "Hurricane Chris", who performed his song "Halle Berry (She's Fine)" the day before in the Louisiana Legislature:
