That comment, which I didn't publish, reads:
"Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "ALEX'S DISCUSSION ON BLOGS": I visit your blog periodically for the same reason I visit Hooper's blog. It is usually entertaining to see what kind of nonsense you try to sell a thinking public. I am doing you a favor. You obviously crave attention and I give you a little. I also agree with very little that Brer Rabbit prints with the exception of issues related to your confused sexual identity. My point is that you provide most of us with entertainment, not information. Posted by Anonymous to CENTRAL La. POLITICS at January 15, 2012 1:30 PM"Looking up the commenter, I see the following which identifies that commenter as I have him listed:
I added the BriarPatch to his listing because his smart ass comments corresponded with posts on CenLaBriarPatch blog about me.
First, I can tell that this commenter does read this blog for information purposes, like the redistricting map that I posted for the Alexandria City Council. Second, I don't care if he reads this blog or not. I can't stop anyone from reading this blog for whatever reason.
I began this blog in June of 2007. Since that time I had almost a half of a million people that have read this blog. I can tell from the comments that I receive and the posts that people look at on this blog that the vast majority of them do get something informative from it.
I write this blog for my own benefit. I do not care if anyone agrees with what I write or not or even reads it. But the readers that I do have are much appreciated. Since I began blogging, I have gotten a very few comments, usually from the same people, who are rudely and vulgarly critical of me. Those few comments have not deterred me from blogging. Over the past year or so, those comments have basically been about my anti-homosexual and anti-Jacques Roy posts, and have accused me of being both a racist while at the same time of being pro-Black.
I guess that from writing so many papers in college, graduate school and law school and my over 25 years engaged in the practice of law, I try to document my posts with audio and video clips, documents, and newspapers, magazines and other blogs cited as authorities. As a life long resident of this area and during my over 25 years in the legal profession, I have met a lot of people and have been involved in a lot of newsworthy events. It is only natural that I should, especially since my 2008 stroke and lack of driving since then, blog on these things.
This blog contains the efforts of numerous Public Records requests and complaints that I have filed with various authorities. which have angered the politicians and their supporters. I am very opinionated, and have lots of them, and enjoy writing about those views. As many bloggers seem to look at blogging as a game, I do not. I do not seek either fame or notoriety. Whereas I do not publish empty and loud mouthed threats just to get readers, I actually do something about issues.
