CLECO IS STILL TRYING TO KEEP ITS SHENNANIGANS A SECRET

Cleco has come back with another pleading of its own seeking to hide the truth from the public on its racial discrimination and hostile work environment cases.

Cleco's proposed order, at p. 6, states Cleco's position clearly; "From this date forward, the public dissemination of any pre-trial discovery depositions, settlement conferences or settlement correspondence, or other misuse of discovery materials by plaintiffs is prohibited."

  1. Mr. Aymond,

This is a no-brainer (Cleco Corporation's flawed practices of over looking well qualifed minorities for promotions) is a "thorn" in their corporate image.

I am a white male, Cleco Corporation Shareholder,Southern Baptist,Gingrich 2012 Presidential suporter (bumper sticker on truck)

In my opinion, some not all, Cleco Management has discriminated againist minority employees and now Cleco Corporation is trying to conceal this illegal practice from the public.

  2. Attorney Aymond,

Several of us (Cleco employees) have read Mr. Williamson's "Christmas Letter" to the plantiffs.

CEO Williamson's must have a set as large as "King Kong"

I predict, he will be discharged as CEO before the end of this year.

  3. I read the plaintiff s formed a company La.Employment Rights Association. Is there a contact person so employees can join?

We are going through a reorganization and they may be able to help those who lose their job.

Mr Aymond thank you for this site.

  4. To the one that commented Bruce sent a lot of xmas cards you should have included "the MERRY cHRISTMAS LETTER".

why would he do something so stupid? I guess he wants to be the Jacque Roy of CLECO.

Mike Madison beat you to it. Look where it got him.

    Dummy

  5. I am amazed how the plaintiffs case continues to gain momentum. From the beginning CLECO (Bausewine) said they have done nothing wrong. They (Jeff Hall) said the noose was not racial. Ed Taylor said no qualified African American exist for mgmt. positions.

I suggest we check our portfolios to make sure it is earning the return CLECO SAYS IT IS.

  6. I am concerned that a CEO would send anyone a letter involved in a civil matter at their company.

What kind of advise did he get from his counsel? Did the chairman of the board give the okay to send a letter so degrading?

I don't think Bruce Williamson has been at CLECO long enough to suffer the effects of drinking the "koolaid"

  7. I took an extended lunch hour to read the plaintiff's response. It took almost 2 hours to digest. CLECO'S reply took less than 10 minutes.

I remain perplexed considering CLECO did not address any of the plaintiffs points. I found the letter from the ceo somewhat insulting given that it was suppose to be in the spirit of Christmas.

I hope the plaintiffs KICK CLECO'S ASS and KISS AYMOND'S ASS on the way out the door.

Why propose to offer anything if you did nothing wrong? The more I read the more I realize CLECO is guilty as sin.

    Go Saints and Go Plaintiffs.

  8. As a long standing employee, I have seen first hand how we take care of the customer. I have been fortunate enough to attend and participate in the annual shareholders meeting. From time to time, my African American colleagues have participated as well. I was a proud employee and shareholder.

I am comtiplating retirement and was hopeful that i could get a package when the reorganization occurs next month. unfortunately, we fall short when it comes to taking care of our employees. Although i feel blessed with my career, my heart goes out to my African American colleagues who have been victims of discrimination.

I thought the new CEO would try and make thing better for us all. Senior management expressed to me in confidence Bruce was here to clean up Madison's mess, which include the lawsuit. Instead, it would appear, he is hear to pick up where Mike left off and thats unfortunate.

As a shareholder (30+yrs) I am concerned about Bruce's recklessness with this Christmas Letter. Our economy is fragile enough and for him to send a letter like this puts my ability to retire in jeopardy.

I hope I am wrong. Someone please tell us so.

I hope I have a annual shareholders meeting to go to in April.

    Just call me worried.
