Those from Central Louisiana to be inducted include "Adras LaBorde was a reporter, managing editor and columnist for the Alexandria Daily Town Talk". id. Adras was an authority on twentieth century Louisiana government and politics and was a Bordelonville native and product of Avoyelles Parish Schools. id.
"He is the sixth Avoyellean to be honored by the hall of fame. Long time governor Edwin Edwards, Supreme Court Justice Jeannette Knoll, Senator Dr. Don Hines, Commissioner of Administration Raymond Laborde and Judge B. C. Bennett, Jr. have all be recognized by the museum." id.
Also joining LaBorde as an inductee is Fred Baden, the Democratic mayor of Pineville from 1970 to 1998 and was also a "Master Plumber" and kept his license current until his death. id.

Adras started his career at KALB radio along with Joe D Smith. Smith married into the Town Talk and took Adras from KALB. Adras was a strong personality and had broad appeal. He did the news in french on the radio, which gained him an even broader audience..He is quite deserving of the honor.
