ALEXANDRIA MAYOR JACQUES ROY'S PERSONAL WEBSITE

Today, the Town Talk reported that "Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy declined to answer questions about specific upcoming projects for 2012, referring instead to his website, www.jacquesroyformayor.com." (See: "Will city of Alexandria resolve hotel ownership, Cleco fees in 2012?").

That website is nothing more than Jacques' personal website that promotes his own political agenda.

Not everything that he promises will appear on his site actually does.

Most of those items never see print or viewing on the local media, and they are not distributed to local blogs to reprint. That is except for Freddy Lamar White's CenLamar blog, that until just this past Summer worked for Jacques and he could always get information from "The Hall" that was favorable to his boss.

This is also not the only website that Jacques uses for the self promotion of his nutty SPARC (CRAPS) programs. ("SPARC Online").

Jacques has also been known to visit the KALB TV studios, and used to call in and go to the KSYL radio show to refute whatever then co-host Steve Coco was saying about him, until he got Steve fired in 2010. And Jacques has been know to contribute to whatever stories about him that appear in the Clown Talk.

And let's not forget Jacques' use of his TV shows on Channel 4. He goes on rants against private citizens and City Council members ("THE RANTS OF JACQUES ROY"). He allows questions from members of his staff and the local media, usually the Clown Talk and sometimes KALB TV, while not allowing any from private citizens.

Last, but not least, Jacques media policies for the Alexandria Housing Authority (A.H.A.) ("NEW MEDIA POLICY ISSUED BY THE AHA BOARD") and the Alexandria Police Department (A.P.D.), which prohibits policemen from talking about the mayor publicly. ("RUMORS FROM THE STREET ON APD BEING GAGGED").

So as you can see, Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy has a fondness for and a practice of controlling the media for his own personal gain and to hold him in the best light. He also controls what information that WE the people get on the operations of Alexandria's government, which is OUR business.

Not to shabby from a mayor who says the he is the most transparent mayor in the history of Alexandria.
