ALEXANDRIA CITY COUNCIL AGENDA FOR 1-10-2012

Although I had recieved this agenda for the full Alexandria City Council meeting tomorrow, I have still not recieved an agenda for the committes as of this time.


Of special interest is item #12 which is a:
"RESOLUTION retroactively ratifying and acknowledging all official acts of the appointee to Council District Number Three since the date of appointment.
What does this mean?

Was Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy's sham rush to appoint Jerry Jones, Jr. to the City Council to replace Jonathan Goins who resigned illegal?

Did Jacques put this on the agenda, or had it put on it, because Jacques' rush to have a judge present at that meeting to swear Jones in was invalid?

Was Jacques so eager to get Jones seated upon the Council so that he could get Harry Silver appointed Council president?

If Jones cannot ethically vote on this resolution, that would mean another possible tie in the vote which Jacques cannot split?

If this resolution does not pass, is Harry Silver still the Council president?

  1. i can and will tell you that the state ag's office carefully watching this one. i have also found out the doj is looking at this with a keen eye. finally....

  2. If the COA Council had to wait for a letter from
    the SEC OF STATE to offically know that GOINS was not DIST3 Councilman, should the same have been done for JONES, that is having a formal letter from the SEC OF STATE approving Jones!!!

    Your City Notebook post from Sunday explans why you have not received a committee agenda. Mr. Silver said in that story there were no committee meetings this week.

  5. It is really amazing how DUMBASS ROY appointed the other DUMBASS JERRY JONES,jr as DIST3 REP with a GPA of 1.5, took 8 yrs to come out of the
    Souther University system for undergraduate work
    JONES(UNCLE TOM) is controled by ROY DUMBASS and
    ROY thinks that the DIST3 citizens are happy with this move, well the TWO of them are in for a RUDE awakening! Jones will not be elected by
    the people in OCT 2012 elections, so keep an eye
    on how JERRIMAE will vote to get DUMBASS ROY agenda passed! OUR EYES ARE WIDE OPEN, JERRIMAE!
