Chris Roy, Sr. Bobby Beck and George Gaiennie , III represented Jacques and the now deceased Jock Scott represented the then Councilmen.
Jacques prevailed on his preliminary injunction but he has let his lawsuit just sit there without finalizing it into a permanent injunction.
With Jacques's lawsuit sitting dormant for the past several years, all of the sudden, on November 16, 2011, Jacques' brother, Chris Roy, Jr., enrolled as his attorney of record.
On November 10, 2011, and before he enrolled, Chris Roy, Jr, sends subpoenas and subpoenas deuces tecum to Alexandria City Council President Roosevelt Johnson and Councilwoman Mitzi Gibson ordering them to appear at his law office for their depositions and to produce documents on November 21-22, 2011.
and
I have heard, although not confirmed, that these depositions were canceled for yesterday and today due to some action by Judge Randow.
Why then has Jacques' lawsuit, which has set dormant for all of these years, kicking back up now?
Could it possibly be because Jacques and his staff have been subpoenaed to appear at the Finance Committee's investigation into the Alexander Fulton Hotel on December 1, 2011?
Could it also be that Jacques is trying to bribe the City Council by letting his lawsuit drop, including his court costs and possible attorney fees, in return for letting him skate on the Fulton Hotel investigation?
Is Jacques really going to throw his buddy ex-Councilman and current Jacques' staffer, Charles Frederick Smith, under the bus too?
Has anyone checked to see if Jacques' lawsuit has expired after 3 years of just sitting there?
